Fort Wayne Company Transitions to Third Generation
A Fort Wayne-based company is now under its third generation of family leadership. Murray Equipment Inc. has named Dan Murray president, succeeding his father, Steve Murray, who has served in the role for nearly 40 years.
Steve Murray will remain with the company, focusing on its KleerBlue Solutions brand. Steve took over leadership of the company from his father, Clarence Murray, who founded the company in 1950.
Dan Murray joined the company in 1997 and has been vice-president for the past 10 years.
"Our customers were the primary factor in planning this transition. We didn’t want them to face any of the disruptions that sometimes come with changes in leadership/ownership." Steve Murray said in a news release. "Dan understands and has been instrumental in developing the ‘Murray Way’ of doing business. I am very confident the future of Murray is bright."
According to its website, Murray Equipment specializes in the "design, manufacture and distribution of liquid and dry handling solutions." The company employs more than 100 in offices on two continents.
