Skyline Corp. Reports Profit Increase

Subscribe NowElkhart-based Skyline Corp. is reporting fiscal first quarter net income of $1.6 million, up from $744,000 during the same period last year. The earnings report marks the second consecutive quarter of growth for the manufacturer, despite flat full-year net income reported in August.
Skyline says net sales for the fiscal first quarter fell 4.4 percent to $58.5 million. The company did not provide a statement on the quarterly earnings.
In August, Chief Executive Officer Richard Florea said, following the sales of Skyline’s manufacturing facilities in Elkhart and Texas, the company was looking forward to "focusing our resources on driving profitable sales in our core business."
