Krieg DeVault Partner Kay Dee Baird has been appointed to the American Bankruptcy Institute’s Central States Bankruptcy Workshop Advisory Board. She is an American Bankruptcy Institute member and succeeds Krieg DeVault Partner C. Daniel Motsinger, who served on the advisory board the past 10 years.

Baird is a member of the firm’s Creditors’ Rights and Bankruptcy Practice Group. She advises clients who are involved in creditor/debtor disputes, and often participates in bankruptcy proceedings, foreclosure proceedings and other collection matters. In the area of litigation, Baird assists clients in various types of civil litigation depending on the needs of the particular client. Her litigation experience ranges from small litigation matters to class action litigation. Baird has assisted a wide array of clients in such litigation, including individuals, institutional clients, and nationally known corporations.

ABI is the nation’s premier organization for bankruptcy, insolvency and workout professionals. The Central States Bankruptcy Workshop is one of ABI’s most prominent regional seminars, drawing numerous lawyers and judges from around the Midwest. ABI was founded in 1982 to provide Congress and the public with unbiased analysis of bankruptcy issues. ABI membership includes thousands of attorneys, auctioneers, bankers, judges, lenders, professors, turnaround specialists, accountants and other bankruptcy professionals providing a forum for the exchange of ideas and information. In fulfillment of its mission to provide information to its members, journalists, Congress and the public, ABI is engaged in numerous educational and research activities, as well as the production of a number of publications both for the insolvency practitioner and the public.
