FORT WAYNE -

Fort Wayne Community Schools Superintendent Wendy Robinson is Indiana's 2018 Superintendent of the Year. Indiana Association of Public School Superintendents Executive Director J.T. Coopman calls Robinson "a national leader for her expertise in improving urban education."

Robinson holds degrees from DePauw University, IPFW and Ball State University. She has more than 30 years of experience as a school administrator and has led Fort Wayne Community Schools since 2003. Her board experience includes Greater Fort Wayne Inc. and Parkview Hospital, as well as a stint as president of the Indiana Urban Superintendents Association.

Robinson will be Indiana's representative in the American Association of School Administrators National Superintendent of the Year program.

"When she speaks in front of a professional conference or testifies before a legislative committee, she is universally respected for her achievements and her experience," says Coopman. "Indiana could not have a finer candidate to represent the state in the 2018 national superintendent of the year competition."
