The Crawfordsville Board of Aviation Commissioners has named a new manager for the Crawfordsville Municipal Airport. Lori Curless, who most recently served as manager of the Indy South Greenwood Airport, succeeds Bill Cramer, who is stepping down to pursue new interests.

Crawfordsville Mayor Todd Barton’s office says Curless led a revitalization effort at the Greenwood airport, which included a business plan, targeted marketing strategies and a rebranding at the airport. Barton says Curless "brings the experience and expertise to continue the momentum and help us take our airport to the next level."

"We are confident that under Lori’s management, our airport will become an even greater asset for our community," said Board of Aviation Commissioner Myra Dunn Abbott. "She is a commercial-rated pilot, so she also understands airport operations from the pilot s perspective."

Cramer led the airport for the past eight years, which included the transition of management from Red Top Aviation to the city of Crawfordsville in 2015. The airport will October 19 host a special reception to introduce Curless to the community.
