The president of the state’s third-largest brewery is stepping down. Upland Brewing Co. says Doug Dayhoff, who has been with the Bloomington-based business for more than 10 years, will give up day-to-day responsibilities, but "continue to support key initiatives" through year’s end.

Dayhoff is a part owner of Upland and came to the company when it was a brew pub. It now has a national footprint and produces over 50 beers per year, with locations in Indianapolis, Carmel, Columbus and Bloomington. The company has launched a search for Dayhoff’s successor and will be led in the meantime by a team of executives that includes Vice President of Brewing Operations Pete Batule, VP of Business Operations Tim Spears and VP of Sales David Bower.

Prior to taking the helm at Upland in 2006, Dayhoff served as chairman of Kline Cabinetmakers LLC in Indianapolis, an associate professor in the Indiana University Kelley School of Business in Bloomington, chief executive officer of iProperty, which was eventually sold to Fidelity National Financial (NYSE: FNF), and finance manager at GE in Louisville. He holds a bachelor’s degree from IU and an MBA from Dartmouth.
