Subscribe NowSouth Bend-based 1st Source Corp. is reporting record second quarter net income of $16.7 million, up from $14.5 million during the same period a year ago. The parent of 1st Source Bank says healthy growth in deposits, loans and leases contributed to the record numbers.
Christopher Murphy, chairman of the 1st Source Board of Directors, said the bank is pleased with the second quarter earnings. This is the second consecutive quarter in which the bank has reported record profit.
Murphy touted several announcements made during the quarter, including the bank’s five-year sponsorship deal with the South Bend Cubs for the team’s performance center at Four Winds Field. The bank also earlier this week completed the reopening of its North Calumet banking center, which Murphy calls, "a significant rebuild and an enhancement to the client experience and our service offerings in the Valparaiso market."
