The law firm of Bose McKinney & Evans LLP has added Bradley Sugarman to the Environmental Law Group as chair and partner, where he will assist clients in environmental issues, including regulatory compliance, litigation and insurance coverage. He regularly appears in state and federal courts, defending clients in complex litigation involving toxic tort and environmental cost-recovery matters. Sugarman represents clients in a variety of industries in administrative enforcement proceedings related to accusations of violations of environmental, health and safety regulations and laws.

He has vast experience recovering insurance for environmental liabilities. Sugarman also negotiates permits under the Clean Air Act and the Clean Water Act, as well as assists corporate and municipal clients by drafting agreements and conducting environmental due diligence related to commercial and real estate transactions, in efforts to limit exposure to environmental liabilities.

As an adjunct faculty member at the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law, he teaches a course on environmental and toxic tort litigation. Sugarman is also a frequent speaker and regularly contributes articles to the Indiana Lawyer and other publications regarding environmental law. He is a member of the American Bar Association, the Indiana State Bar Association, the Indianapolis Bar Association and the Indiana Air & Waste Management Association. Sugarman is co-founder and a current board member of Bicycles for Humanity Indiana, which collects used bikes and provides them to rural communities in Africa as a sustainable means of transportation.

In 1994, he graduated from the University of Virginia and in 1998 graduated from Vermont Law School. Sugarman is admitted to practice law in Colorado, Indiana, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Indiana, the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Indiana, U.S. Court of Federal Claims, the U.S. Court of Appeals, Seventh Circuit and the U.S. Supreme Court.
