The Joseph Maley Foundation says Saturday’s 9th Annual 5K Run, Walk and Roll Event in downtown Indianapolis will help fuel its mission of "serving children of all abilities."
The foundation is named for Joseph Maley, who was born in 1990 with several disabilities and died at the age of 18 after a battle with leukemia. His parents say they launched the foundation in the spirit of his total acceptance. Since the 5K Run, Walk and Roll event began, Communications and Events Director Courtney Basso says more than 4,000 people have taken part, helping the organization impact more than 60,000 children in central Indiana.
The 9th Annual 5K Run, Walk, Roll is set for Saturday at 8:00 a.m., beginning at the Carroll Stadium Track at IUPUI. You can register by clicking here and find more information by clicking here.
Basso says the JMF event is “truly a community effort.”
