The city says Imperial Fastener and Industrial Supply will invest $1.5 million to build a new warehouse and office facility, which will create a small number of jobs.
Construction on the 23,700 square-foot facility is slated to begin later this month. The company, which was acquired by Haggard & Stocking in 2016, will add seven jobs over the next two years.
"With so many cities competing for economic development opportunities, it speaks well of our city that Imperial Fastener & Industrial Supply has chosen to stay and expand here, in Evansville," said Mayor Lloyd Winnecke. "Through its affiliation with Haggard & Stocking, the company’s quality products will be distributed across the country and around the globe."
Imperial distributes fastening products and industrial supplies to customers in the production, maintenance and construction industries. The city will also consider a six-year tax abatement based on the company’s expansion plans.
