SMWC Exec Forming Own Firm
A community development veteran in west central Indiana is launching what she calls a bi-partisan advocacy firm. Rachel Leslie, who has served in executive roles with the Terre Haute Chamber of Commerce and, most recently, with Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College, says RJL Solutions LLC aims to help organizations make larger impacts in their communities.
Leslie says the firm will provide services including lobbying, issue education and promotion of public/private partnership. She says it is imperative for an organization "to understand your place in the economic framework of your community, your state and the nation" and "have a place in the world of community, politics and policy."
RJL Solutions’ office, which is undergoing minor renovations, is in downtown Terre Haute.
Leslie holds degrees from Saint Mary-of-the-Woods College and is a graduate of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce Executive Association Chamber University, the U.S. Chamber of Commerce Institute of Organizational Management and the Indiana Leadership Forum. She most recently served as vice president for external relations at SMWC.
