New Trailer Previews Columbus-Focused Movie
A national publication has published a theatrical trailer for a Hollywood movie that was filmed in and features an Indiana city. Entertainment Weekly unveiled an exclusive preview of Columbus, which stars John Cho, Haley Lu Richardson and Parker Posey. The film focuses on a Korean-born man, played by Cho, whose father ends up in a coma and hospitalized in the Bartholomew County city.
He forms a relationship women, played by Richardson, who is an expert on the local architecture. The scenery of the historic city plays a significant role in Columbus, which debuted at the Sundance Film Festival in January. Screenplay writer and director Kogonada’s interest in the city was stoked by media accounts of its architecture in the New York Times and on National Public Radio.
The film is slated to be released to national audiences in August.
