Ivy Tech Community College has inked a reverse transfer agreement with Indiana Wesleyan University in Marion. The partnership will assist students who transfer to IWU before completing an associate degree at Ivy Tech.

Students must have completed a minimum of 15 credit hours from Ivy Tech, be currently enrolled as an undergraduate at IWU, have no prior associate degree from Ivy Tech, and meet all admission requirements for IWU to be eligible for the reverse transfer program. Once the student earns 75 or more credit hours, he or she will be notified of potential eligibility for an Ivy Tech associate degree through reverse transfer.

"IWU has partnered closely with Ivy Tech for more than 20 years to offer Ivy Tech students a seamless pathway to Bachelor degree completion," said David Rose, vice president of marketing and enrollment – national and global campus for IWU. "Reverse transfer allows us to partner on an even deeper level – all with the goal of serving students well."

Ivy Tech has similar partnerships with a number of Hoosier schools, including the University of Southern Indiana, Trine University, and Indiana Tech. To date, the college has awarded 262 associate degrees through the reverse transfer initiative.
