Wernle Ready For Admin Building Groundbreaking
The Richmond-based Wernle Youth & Family Treatment Center will break ground Wednesday on a new administration building. The project is part of the nonprofit’s $10 million Community of Hope Campaign, which also includes new outpatient care facilities.
Early last year, Wernle received two gifts of more than $1 million toward the campaign within a month of each other. The initial portion of the campaign wrapped-up in late-2014 and covered residential hall projects with donations from the Sharpe Family Foundation, the Ar-Hale Family Foundation and Paul & Pat Lingle.
In December, longtime Wernle Chief Executive Officer Darrell Gordon received a Sagamore of the Wabash Award from then-Governor Mike Pence.
Wernle Youth & Family Treatment Center provides treatment services for severely neglected and abused youth in Indiana and Ohio.
