Hogsett Hires Director of Re-Entry

Subscribe NowMayor Joe Hogsett has named Brooke Daunhauer director of re-entry for the Office of Public Health and Safety. She previously served as social service administrator with the Marion County Public Defender Agency. In this role, Daunhauer developed release plans and advocated for alternative options to incarceration for those suffering from mental illness and addiction. Through active involvement in the Marion County Re-Entry Coalition, she cultivated relationships with community organizations that work to assist returning citizens and has been directly involved in systems redesign efforts.
In her new role, Daunhauer will work to improve connectivity for those re-entering the community with existing service providers, promote public-private partnerships to fill gaps in services, and uplift the work already being done by partners to foster successful reintegration within the community.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Social Work from Miami University of Ohio and a Master of Social Work from the University of Denver. Before joining the Marion County Public Defender Agency, Daunhauer worked as a family support specialist supervisor with Wishard Healthy Families and as a healthy families group facilitator at the Marion County Public Health Department.
