Manchester University has promoted Raylene Rospond to vice president of academic affairs. She joined the university in July 2014 as vice president and dean at what was then the College of Pharmacy at Manchester’s Fort Wayne campus. Rospond led the Pharmacy Program through the accreditation process and development of a master’s program in pharmacogenomics. She earned her doctoral degree in pharmacy and previously did undergraduate teaching at both Drake and Creighton universities and also served as a faculty associate in the Center for Health Policy and Ethics at Creighton.

In 2015, the university went through a restructuring process that resulted in Rospond assuming the role of vice president of institutional effectiveness and dean of the College of Pharmacy, Natural and Health Sciences.

She has more than 25 years of academic experience in clinical practice, didactic and experiential teaching, scholarship and administration. Rospond also previously served as deputy provost at Drake following 10 years as dean of Drake’s College of Pharmacy and Health Sciences.
