ISO Chief to Lead National Symphony Orchestra

Subscribe NowThe chief executive officer of the Indianapolis Symphony Orchestra is stepping down to take on a new role in Washington D.C. Gary Ginstling, who has led the ISO since 2013, will become the executive director of the National Symphony Orchestra. Before joining the ISO, he served as the general manager of The Cleveland Orchestra. Ginstling also held leadership roles at the San Francisco Symphony and the Berkeley Symphony Orchestra.
The ISO has not indicated a time frame for the search for Ginstling’s successor.
