Winery Set to Open in Vigo County
A pair of Indiana State University graduates is set to cut the ribbon later this month on The Sycamore Winery in West Terre Haute. The $2 million project includes a tasting room, event space, walking trails, lakes and a craft brewery.
The winery is owned by Daniel and Sarah Pigg. Daniel Pigg tells Inside INdiana Business the facility features 8,000 square feet of tasting room and event space. It is also home to Big Leaf Brewing, which will feature four craft beers and two hard ciders on tap when the facility opens.
Pigg says the facility will allow children on the premises and will have root beer tastings and non-alcoholic slushies for kids. The owners will cut the ribbon on the winery June 30 and celebrate its grand opening on July 1.
