The News and Tribune in Jeffersonville reports the development authority of the 6,000-acre industrial park is also seeking to acquire land from the city of Charlestown and Jesse Ballew Enterprises for better access to State Road 62 and S.R. 3.
The proposals were discussed Monday during a meeting of the development authority’s board. The potential projects include:
- Autoneum North America Inc., which currently employs 190 at River Ridge, is looking to build a 144,000 square-foot addition and could add up to 30 jobs.
- American Fuji Seal has a facility in River Ridge that includes 85 employees and is planning to expand production and add 42,000 square-feet and more parking.
- Exeter Property Group wants to build a more than 500,000 square-foot shell building on 84 acres in the southeast Indiana property.
The River Ridge website says employers at River Ridge currently have more than 5,700 workers.
