INDIANAPOLIS -

A well-known Hoosier technology entrepreneur is taking on a new role. Dustin Sapp is co-founder of Indianapolis-based Octiv, previously known as TinderBox, and will serve as chief operating officer of Indy software company Formstack LLC. Sapp left Octiv in January to take a sabbatical, seven years after helping launch the company. Sapp will be a guest this weekend on Inside INdiana Business Television.

Formstack says Sapp will lead and manage corporate strategy and advise leadership at the software-as-a-service provider on growth and innovation opportunities. The company says it is in growth mode currently, with higher revenue forecast for this year, plans to boost its nearly 100-member remote work force by 50 percent and expansion of its customer base into industries including human resources, health care and higher education. He will stay on with Octiv's board of directors.

Sapp says "Formstack's culture allows me the opportunity to work remotely while still influencing the Indiana tech ecosystem that I've dedicated nearly 20 years to growing. Operating under forward-thinking and agile leadership, Formstack has become an industry leader by cultivating an engaged workforce and a product that places a premium on delivering customer value. I'm excited to work with Chris (Byers, chief executive officer) and play a part in the tremendous growth in store for the Formstack team."

Byers says Sapp's hiring represents a rare opportunity. "We are a high-growth organization," says Byers, "and I'm personally energized to see how the addition of a visionary leader like Dustin allows our team to continue solving important problems for our customers."

Sapp, who holds a computer science degree from Rose-Hulman Institute of Technology, also co-founded voice technology platform Vontoo and Nolnk, a medical device sales solutions company.
