Johnson, who most recently served as vice president of marketing for USA Gymnastics, succeeds Linda Paul, who retired last month.
Johnson has been with USA Gymnastics since 2010. Before joining the organization, Johnson held various management positions with Sprint, Red Bull, the University of Kansas and the University of Texas at San Antonio.
"I have been looking forward to this type of opportunity for a long time, and am honored to join USA Diving on the front end of a new Olympic quad,” said Johnson. "With 135 Olympic medals to date, USA Diving is built on a winning tradition and athletic achievement. I look forward to continuing this legacy and recent Olympic success in Tokyo and beyond."
Paul announced her retirement from USA Diving in October after 16 years with the organization.
