Barnes & Thornburg LLP has added Randolph Rompola to its government finance team. He is a public and municipal finance lawyer and a partner at the firm’s South Bend office. Previously, was a long-time partner at Faegre Baker Daniels, Rompola has experience serving as bond counsel, underwriter’s counsel and borrower’s counsel in a wide variety of taxable and tax-exempt public finance transactions. This includes helping clients negotiate incentives for financing and construction of major economic development projects. Additionally, he serves as bond counsel in conduit financings for healthcare, educational institutions, senior living and multifamily housing projects and represents public and private clients in economic development matters, including public-private partnership projects and real estate and zoning issues. Rompola is a board member of the United Way of St. Joseph County, Indiana Soccer Association, Indiana Soccer Foundation, Fischoff National Chamber Music Association Inc., South Bend Education Foundation and the Scholarship Foundation of St. Joseph County. He has been named to The Best Lawyers in America for public finance law since 2011, including being named Lawyer of the Year in 2014. Rompola earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Notre Dame Law School, where he was symposium editor of the Notre Dame Law Review. He earned a bachelor’s degree, magna cum laude, from King’s College.
