Subscribe NowIvy Tech Community College has established a reverse transfer agreement with another Indiana institution. The partnership with Trine University in Angola allows students who have transferred to Trine after earning credits toward an associate degree at Ivy Tech to complete their degrees.
Ivy Tech says eligible students must have completed a minimum of 15 credit hours at the community college, must currently be enrolled as an undergraduate at Trine and must have no prior associate degree from Ivy Tech. Once the student has attained a total of 66 or more credit hours, they will be notified of their eligibility for an Ivy Tech associate degree through reverse transfer each semester.
"The ability to earn an associate degree through the reverse transfer opportunity creates a milestone on students’ educational journey," said Russ Baker, vice president of academic affairs and university transfer division at Ivy Tech. "This credential may make them more marketable, keep them motivated on their way toward a bachelor’s degree, and serve as a valuable asset should they be delayed in achieving their ultimate degree goal."
Ivy Tech has similar partnerships with other institutions, including the University of Southern Indiana, Indiana State University, Purdue University, and Western Governors University.
