Officials with Indiana Xpress Ortho Care say the facility, located in Dyer, will provide faster treatment for orthopedic injuries than an emergency room.
The facility says it is the only orthopedic urgent care clinic in northwest Indiana, serving Dyer, Schererville, Highland, Griffith and surrounding areas of Illinois. The clinic will treat a variety of injuries, including Workman’s Comp injuries.
"Recovery from a work-related injury often depends on immediate treatment from an orthopedic specialist," says Brian Sullivan, partner in Xpress Ortho Care. "We provide a quicker alternative to emergency room waits for the employees of manufacturing, auto industry, construction and other area corporations."
An investment total for the facility was not disclosed. Xpress Ortho Care says the Dyer location is the first of several orthopedic urgent care clinics planned to open throughout the country.
