A spokeswoman for the student engagement app developer tells Inside INdiana Business the announcement is related to news from January that ClearScholar had landed a $1.25 million round of funding it said would lead to a handful of jobs by the end of the year. Chief Executive Officer Jason Konesco appeared that month on Inside INdiana Business Television and said the technology is designed to help colleges connect with students "in a more meaningful way."
ClearScholar is about a year-old and is the second spinout to emerge from Indianapolis-based High Alpha Studios. The digital platform has customized features such as mobile student IDs, event information, news and activities. A beta version of the technology arrived on the Butler University campus late last year.
Wednesday, company leaders will join Indiana Economic Development Corp. President Elaine Bedel and Indianapolis Mayor Joe Hogsett to provide economic development details at the company’s downtown headquarters.
