He is chief executive officer of ClearObject (formerly CloudOne). The Purdue Polytechnic Institute, previously named the College of Technology, is one of 10 colleges at Purdue offering undergraduate and graduate degrees. The academic programs combine theory-based applied learning, team-based projects, integrated humanities studies, competency-based credentialing, and a series of experiential components such as industry-sponsored senior capstone projects, internships, global immersions, and certification-earning activities. Prior to taking the helm as CEO at ClearObject in 2010, McDonald served as a technical sales executive at IBM for more than 20 years. He is one of the founding members and on the steering committee of the 450+ member Cloud Customer Standards Council, a board member of the Indiana Chamber of Commerce, co-chair of the Indiana Chamber’s Technology and Innovation Council, a board member and president-elect of the Venture Club of Indiana, a board member of TechPoint, a member of the IBM PartnerWorld Global Business Partner Advisory Council, and a member of the Industrial Advisory Council for Computer and Information Technology at the Purdue Polytechnic.
