DePauw to Award Honorary Doctoral Degrees

Subscribe NowDePauw University says it will present three honorary doctoral degrees at its spring commencement ceremony. Musician Todd Rundgren, Hoosier Environmental Council Executive Director Jesse Kharbanda and TOMS Chief Executive Officer Jim Alling will receive the honor in May.
Rundgren is no stranger to DePauw. In 2009, the musician visited the Greencastle campus and spoke to students as part of the Ubben Lecture Series. He also served as an instructor in Indiana University’s Wells Scholars Program in 2010 and served as an artist-in-residence at the University of Notre Dame last year.
Earlier this month, DePauw announced Alling would keynote address at the commencement ceremony. Alling is a 1983 graduate of DePauw and was named CEO of TOMS last April. He last spoke at the university in 2007 as part of the Ubben Lecture Series.
