Cloverdale-based Endeavor Communications has announced a collaboration with Hendricks Power Cooperative to offer gigabit Internet and other services to residents and businesses in Hendricks County. The company plans to invest $4 million over a two-year period.

Endeavor says it will launch its wireless, telephone, high-speed Internet, TV on demand, security and medical alert services over Hendricks Power's fiber optic network. The company says the collaboration will enhance quality of life and business productivity throughout the county, which will help attract new residents.

"Working with Hendricks Power has provided the opportunity for us to showcase the local, expert technology Endeavor is known for to make sure customers get all the benefits of the highest speed internet available without customers having to become technology wizards," said Darin LaCoursiere, chief executive officer of Endeavor.

A spokesperson for Endeavor tells Inside INdiana Business the project will serve between 2,000 and 3,000 customers. Endeavor's gigabit Internet that is being offered will be 10 Gigabit capable.

Endeavor says the first phase of the project will be rolling out services to local businesses first and then to residential customers later this year. On Thursday, the company announced it was beginning the initial phase of work on its first "10 Gigabit Community" project in Mooresville.
