AAA Hoosier Motor Club has named Tom Coverdale director of sales for the insurance sales department. He is a former standout basketball player at Indiana University and previously served as a commercial sales specialist with American Family Insurance. The former Indiana Mr. Basketball (1998) also spent three years with Shepherd Insurance while selling both personal insurance lines (home and auto) and commercial policies. Coverdale, attended Noblesville High School and was a key player for the Indiana Hoosiers’ 2002 Big Ten Conference championship and NCAA Tournament national runners-up squad. After graduating from IU, he played professional basketball with the Rockford Lightning (Illinois) in the Continental Basketball Association and then overseas in Trier, Germany. Coverdale also spent four years as an assistant coach at the University of Louisiana-Monroe and then two years at Tyler (Texas) Junior College.
