ISTA Names Executive Director
The Indiana State Teachers Association has named Dan Holub executive director. Holub, who most recently served as executive director of the Minnesota Association of Professional Employees, will begin his new role April 24.
Prior to joining MAPE, Holub served as director of quality education advocacy at the Wisconsin Education Association Council. He succeeds Brenda Pike, who stepped down from the ISTA in May to lead the Alabama Education Association.
"We were pleased to find someone with the right leadership skills and experience who has a keen understanding of what it takes to build and sustain a strong and growing membership organization," said ISTA President Teresa Meredith. "Holub also shares our deep commitment to educators, public schools and the kids who attend."
Holub is also the former head of The University of Iowa Labor Center.
