Custom Software Company Growing
Indianapolis-based Inverse-Square is planning to expand. The business process software developer says it will add 20 jobs over the next three years and move to a larger space in the Stutz Business Center downtown.
The company currently has 13 employees and says the new software developer positions it plans to hire are expected to pay nearly double the average wage in the state. Inverse-Square creates custom, cloud-based systems that automate tasks using Excel spreadsheets and MS Access databases. Its customers are based in Indiana, as well as Europe, the Middle East and Asia.
President Bob Baird says "Indianapolis is becoming such a tech hotbed that it’s been a lot of fun tapping into the existing talent and helping to develop new resources in the area. We’ve lived through a momentum swing from watching college grads move to the coasts and mountains, to attracting talent from those same regions. When you couple the foundational talent found in Indiana with the culture and cost of living of the Midwest, it doesn’t make sense to look anywhere else."
RapidBit Development LLC, which does business as Inverse-Square, has been offered up to $285,000 in conditional tax credits and training grants from the Indiana Economic Development Corp.
