IHSPA Executive Director to Retire
The executive director of the Indiana High School Press Association has announced plans to retire. Diana Hadley says she will step down at the end of June after 13 years at Franklin College, which is the home of the IHSPA. The organization says it is currently looking for a successor to Hadley. The executive director is responsible for, among other things, helping coordinate high school journalism activities, including the IHSPA annual convention and the First Amendment Symposium at the Indiana Statehouse. The IHSPA was founded by two Franklin College students in 1922. The organization currently has about 100 active member schools throughout the state.
