Purdue Students Named in ’20 Twenties’ List

Subscribe NowThree Purdue University students are part of the 20 Twenties list from Aviation Week and the American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics. The list features "outstanding students emerging as aerospace leaders."
Students were nominated for the list by engineering programs at 37 universities throughout the world and the final 20 were selected by a panel of judges. The publication says they students were also asked to give their own grade for the aerospace and defense industry,
Julia CrowleyFarenga has been named the 2017 20 Twenties top student. She is a graduate student at Purdue and earned her bachelor’s degree in aerospace engineering at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. Aviation Week says before starting her studies at Purdue, CrowleyFarenga joined SpaceX "as an employee working on advanced Mars technology concepts."
Geoffrey Andrews is a graduate student at Purdue and serves as the chief maintenance officer of Purdue Pilots Inc., a student-run flying club and nonprofit based at the Purdue Airport. He received his bachelor’s degree at Lehigh University and was a co-op student employee at NASA Glenn Research Center.
Emily Zimovan expects to complete her master’s degree in aeronautical and astronautical engineering at Purdue in May. She previously served as an aeronautics scholar at NASA Langley Research Center and interned at NASA Johnson Space Center.
