Indiana Farm Bureau has promoted Bob White to director of national government relations. He most recently served as retail agriculture program coordinator and will continue handling issues related to value-added and retail agriculture, specialty crops, and food safety. White will also continue to represent Farm Bureau on the Indiana Grown Commission. With this promotion, he now coordinates the organization’s federal policy advocacy efforts. White, a veteran of five previous farm bills, brings a wealth of experience in agriculture and government relations, having previously served as a branch manager for Farm Credit Services, director of natural resources and environmental affairs for INFB, senior professional staff member for the U.S. Senate Ag Committee (chaired by then-Sen. Dick Lugar) and state director of Indiana USDA Rural Development (appointed by former President George W. Bush). White has a bachelor’s and a master’s degree from Purdue University.
