Faegre Baker Daniels has appointed Gina Kastel vice chair and chief operating partner. She will succeed Tom Froehle, who will become of the firm’s next chair and managing partner, when Andrew Humphrey reaches his term limit March 1. Kastel previously served as leader of the firm’s health care group and was elected to the firm’s management board in 2015. Shortly thereafter, she was appointed to the firm’s executive committee. In 17 years of service, Kastel has helped a wide range of health care and nonprofit clients navigate regulatory complexity and manage legal risk. She received a bachelor’s degree with highest honors from the University of Notre Dame, and her J.D. magna cum laude from Harvard Law School.
