She brings more than a decade’s worth of broadcast, print, and digital media know-how to the position. Cutler previously served as media relations coordinator for Indianapolis Public Schools. She managed crisis and strategic communications, developed communication approaches for stakeholder outreach, created content for digital communication campaigns and served as project manager for major district initiatives. Prior to that she produced daily live newscasts for both FOX59 in Indianapolis and WTWO-TV in Terre Haute.
Cutler also has musical experience as an on-stage performer and musical director/conductor for Footlite Musicals. She currently serves on the community engagement committee for Any Given Child Indy, a partnership between the Kennedy Center for the Arts and the Arts Council of Indianapolis, which advocates for increased and equitable access to arts education for students in grades K-8. A former trumpet player and Singing Hoosier at Indiana University Bloomington, Cutler also led choral ensembles for the Vigo County schools and coached students for ISSMA Solo and Ensemble Contests.
