Ball State Slated to Name Next President
Ball State University is set Tuesday to announce its next president. The board of trustees has scheduled a vote following a public meeting at Sursa Hall on the Muncie campus. Terry King has served as interim president since Ball State announced the resignation of Paul Ferguson a year ago.
A search committee was launched in March to gather input on filling the position on a permanent basis. Assistant Board Secretary Matt Momper led the committee, which included included faculty, student, administration, staff and alumni representation.
The public meeting of the trustees is scheduled for 1:30 p.m. Tuesday. The next president will be Ball State’s seventeenth in its 99 year history.
