Kenneth Klotz has been named chief medical officer for the Eskenazi Health Center. He has served as chief physician executive at Eskenazi Health West 38th Street since the health center’s opening in October 2013. Throughout his career, he has held a number of leadership roles that both exemplify and further the Eskenazi Health mission, including several clinical and administrative management positions at the Richard L. Roudebush VA Medical Center. Klotz joined Eskenazi in 2011 as an internist at Eskenazi Health Center Pecar. He has been instrumental in the successful implementation of Eskenazi Health’s new Epic electronic health record system, serving as the Epic team physician champion for primary care and the chair of the Primary Care EHR Steering Committee. An active faculty preceptor, Klotz is an associate professor of clinical medicine at the Indiana University School of Medicine and a member and fellow of the American College of Physicians. He is also professionally involved in a number of local community organizations including the Shepherd Community Free Clinic and Trinity Free Clinic, and is active in volunteer service through medical mission trips to Haiti, Guatemala and Kenya.
