UE Launching Logistics Program
The University of Evansville has announced plans to launch a logistics and supply chain management program within its Schroeder School of Business. The university says the new program, which will begin in the fall of 2018, will address the industry’s worker shortage.
UE says the program will include internships at large, global corporations, technology training, annual attendance at the Indiana Logistics Summit and participation in a mock Walmart warehouse program at the University of Arkansas. The Schroeder School of Business will also create a center for logistics and supply chain management, which will house experiential student programs and connect students with corporations.
"We have listened to our regional business community and responded," said Schroeder Family School of Business Dean Greg Rawski, "Our LSCM program will be impactful and will fortify our 98 percent career placement rate – one of the best in the nation."
The university says the program will be the first private Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business International-accredited program in Indiana to offer an undergraduate major in LCSM.
