Varsity Brands, the leading company that empowers young people through sport, spirit and achievement, has appointed Jeffrey Drees president of its Herff Jones business division. He recently served as president, industrial product division, at Flowserve Corp. Drees succeeds John Newby, who will assume new leadership responsibilities, including oversight of Varsity Brands’ cross-division IMPACT program. Drees started his career in the U.S. Air Force where he worked as a systems specialist responsible for maintaining, repairing and installing building automation systems in Europe, the Middle East and Turkey. He
earned a BS in Electronics Management from Southern Illinois University and an MBA from Aurora University.

Marian University Announces New Residence Hall
Marian University plans to build a new campus residence hall following a seven-figure lead gift from Phil and Brigitt Caito. The gift will help facilitate Caito-Wagner Hall, with construction set for May 2020. The 57,000 square foot facility will include 112 rooms to house 210 students when it's scheduled to open in August 2021.
Tony George Named Chairman in IMS Transition of Power
In a move that marks a remarkable return to power, Tony George is now chairman of the family business that owns and operates the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. At a board meeting, George was named chairman of Terre Haute-based Hulman and Co., succeeding his mother, Mari Hulman George, who was named chairman emeritus.
