Hall Render Adds to Indianapolis Team

Andrew Owen (pictured) focuses on the business and legal issues his clients face when using technology to heighten the quality of service that they can provide their patients. Owen deals with issues involving the areas of data privacy and security, the storage and use of electronic health information, software licensing agreements, mHealth and other general areas of health information technology. He earned his undergraduate degree from Indiana University in 2013. Owen received his J.D. from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2016. He is admitted to practice in Indiana and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association, Indiana Bar Association and Indianapolis Bar Association. Grace Shelton (pictured) focuses her legal practice on business immigration within the Health Human Resources practice group. She also provides counseling on various employment immigration issues, which include I-9 compliance. Shelton earned her undergraduate degree, cum laude, from Butler University and received her J.D. and Certificate in Health Law from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law. She is admitted to practice in Indiana and is a member of the Indianapolis Bar Association, American Immigration Lawyers Association and American Health Lawyers Association. Matt Schappa focuses his legal practice in the area of supply chain procurement, operations and management. He earned his undergraduate degree from Ohio University. He received his J.D. from the University of Dayton School of Law. Schappa is admitted to practice in Indiana and is a member of the American Health Lawyers Association and Indianapolis Bar Association.
The firm also named: Ammon Fillmore, Amy Mackin and Jarrod Malone shareholders. Fillmore graduated from the University of Iowa College of Law and advises health care providers on matters including technology, privacy and security, information systems and regulatory compliance, as well as emerging and growing areas of information technology such as cybersecurity, mobile applications, data ownership, data submission and quality payment program compliance. Amy Mackin graduated from the University of North Carolina School of Law in 2009. She advises clients on managed care contracting matters, compliance with federal and state fraud and abuse laws, False Claims Act investigations and physician contracting. Jarrod Malone graduated from the Indiana University Robert H. McKinney School of Law in 2003. He focuses his litigation practice in the area of professional liability defense with particular emphasis on the defense of hospitals, physicians, dentists, lawyers and law firms as well as employment-related matters in claims involving breach of contract, non-compete actions, FMLA, FLSA, ADA, ADEA and Title VII.
