IU to Announce New Research Center
Officials from Indiana University and the IU School of Medicine in Indianapolis are set to announce Tuesday a new research center. The university says the announcement will involve one of the largest charitable gifts in the history of the IU School of Medicine.
IU says research that will be conducted at the new center will promise to deliver "revolutionary" therapies for patients with cancer and other diseases. Specific details have not yet been released, however the university says the donation will support "groundbreaking research that could change the treatments and lives of people with cancer and other illnesses."
The announcement is scheduled for 10:30 a.m. at the IU School of Medicine campus in Indianapolis.
