Report Touts Automakers’ Impact in Indiana

A report from an auto manufacturing group is touting the economic impact of international automakers on Indiana’s economy. The Here For America report from the Association of Global Automakers says global companies it represents have invested more than $6.4 billion into 10 facilities and offices in Indiana, creating more than 113,000 jobs.

The automakers featured in the report include Subaru of Indiana Automotive Inc. in Lafayette, Honda Manufacturing of Indiana LLC in Greensburg, Toyota Motor Manufacturing Indiana Inc. in Princeton and AM General LLC, which produces Mercedes-Benz vehicles in Mishawaka. The report says the automakers have contributed $13 billion to the state and generated $1.1 billion in taxes.

Additionally, the report says the companies contributed $6.6 billion to household incomes in 2015. You can view the full report below:
