Whitley County Chamber Names Executive Director

Subscribe NowJennifer Zartman Romano has been named executive director of the Whitley County Chamber of Commerce. She started as a volunteer for the organization more than 10 years ago. A small business owner in Whitley County, Romano has been a member of the Chamber for the past nine years. When the Columbia City Chamber merged with the South Whitley Chamber of Commerce, she was selected to serve as a member of the newly created board of directors for the Whitley County Chamber of Commerce. After serving as board vice president and later after two terms as board chair, Romano joined the Chamber staff as the marketing director in 2014. She is a graduate of Columbia City High School and IPFW, holding a bachelor’s degree in Communication. Romano has served on the board of directors for numerous local non-profit organizations over the years and enjoys many volunteer commitments. In 2015, she was elected by caucus to serve as the Southwest District Columbia City Council representative and later was elected to serve her first full term on Columbia City Council. As a member of the council, Romano chairs the Ordinance Committee and has served on several special committees, including the Local Emergency Planning Commission.
