Red Gold Unveils Employee Health Clinic

Posted: Updated:

Elwood-based Red Gold Inc. has cut the ribbon on its new health and wellness center for employees and their families. The facility will provide services including primary healthcare, free medications, free lab tests and health and nutrition education.

The Red Gold Health & Wellness Center is supported by Activate Healthcare, which has 19 other clinic locations throughout the state to which Red Gold employees will have free access. The company says an additional location is set to open in early 2017 near Red Gold's production facility in Geneva.

"Red Gold’s family ownership has always had our employee’s health and wellness as a priority, and we are thrilled to offer this new and innovative medical benefit offering to our employees," said Tim Ingle, vice president of human resources and corporate strategy for Red Gold. "It is these types of services and personal attention that has made Red Gold a career destination in Madison County."

Elwood Mayor Todd Jones was on hand Thursday for the ribbon cutting.

    • Hope is Not a Plan

This is sobering. A local business broker in Indianapolis reports nine out of 10 business owners who want to sell are turned away. Of the one in 10 that does make it past the first analysis to sell, over half of those company owners don’t get the sale price they hope for or believe the business is worth. Bottom line, hope is not a plan if you want to sell your business.
