She previously served as vice president of administration for Overseas Council. Purchased’s mission is to end modern day slavery, and Mitchell’s hire reflects the ministry’s need to increase team capacity in order to help more Hoosier girls. She follows Jessica Evans, the founder of Purchased, who served in the role and has now made the transition into program director. Mitchell will help with the crucial role of ensuring the long-term sustainability and continuation of this critical work through her expertise in fundraising, leadership and ministry. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Indiana Wesleyan University and will soon complete her master’s degree in business administration from IWU. She is knowledgeable in conflict resolution and peacemaking through Peacemakers Ministry, Notre Dame and Harvard Business. She is certified in Global Professional in Human Resources and fundraising training through the Indiana University School of Philanthropy, and served as full-time youth director and as vice president of administration for an international ministry for more than 11 years.
