South Bend Airport Cuts Ribbon on Aviation Ramp
Officials in South Bend have cut the ribbon on the new general aviation public ramp at South Bend International Airport. The $1.5 million project has resulted in the creation of a small number of jobs at Corporate Wings, the airport’s newest fixed base operator.
In addition to the 14 jobs created, the airport says more economic impact was generated through the completion of construction by Rieth-Riley Construction Co.
South Bend Mayor Pete Buttigieg joined St. Joseph County Airport Authority Board of Directors President Abe Marcus, South Bend Redevelopment Commission President Marcia Jones and other local leaders for the ribbon cutting.
