MICHIGAN CITY -

A 60-year-old fabrication company in Michigan City is under new leadership. Economic Development Corp. Michigan City says Brian Mulligan has taken over as owner and president of Jet Fabricators Inc.

The organization says Mulligan acquired the company in June and has already added three employees with plans for continued growth. The company fabricates numerous types of steel, stainless steel and aluminum products for the aerospace, transportation and power generation industries, among others.

"Jet Fabricators has a long, proud history in Michigan City and I am looking forward to growing the Jet legacy by reconnecting with the manufacturers in this city, county and region, proving that Jet can be a local, reliable and vital supplier to this area," said Mulligan.

The EDCMC says Mulligan plans to improve efficiencies and install quality standards at the company, including becoming ISO 9000 certified.
