The "Stellarbration" will feature presentations from the city of Rushville and the town of Corydon, which were announced as the winners last week.
Holcomb’s office says the event, which kicks off at 10:00 a.m., will also include a look back on the first five years of the program. Winners of the Stellar Communities designation become eligible to receive state-administered federal funding.
Rushville earned the distinction in the Division I category by beating out Warsaw and Shelbyville. In the Division II category, Corydon won over the city of Culver and the town of Union City.
Later this fall, community members from Rushville and Corydon will each hold local Stellarbrations, both of which will also be attended by Holcomb.
