Indianapolis Monthly Names Editor-in-Chief
Indianapolis Monthly has promoted Michael Rubino to editor-in-chief. He joined the magazine as associate editor in 2007. Over the last 10 years, Rubino has held a number of positions at IM, most recently serving as senior editor. His work has appeared in The New York Times, Christian Science Monitor, ESPN.com, and has been noted by the Best American Sports Writing anthology. Rubino graduated from Wabash College and earned his master’s degree in journalism from Indiana University. He takes over the role from four-year veteran Amanda Heckert, who moved back home, to South Carolina, where she will serve as deputy editor of Garden and Gun magazine.
